Three times a day, spread evenly over the whole day is best.  It is most effective if given during meals or feeds.

What should I do if I forget to give a dose?
Give it as soon as you remember and then go back to giving it with meals.

How do I store the Gastrogard-R® mixture?
It should be stored in the main part of the fridge (not the door).  Do not freeze Gastrogard-R® as it may render the product ineffective.

Can I heat Gastrogard-R® in the microwave?
Microwave ovens should not be used to prepare Gastrogard-R®.  Subjecting the product to heat above 65 degrees Celsius may render it ineffective.

What should I do if my child vomits some of the Gastrogard-R®?
Simply wait until your child's next feed or meal and give the next dose.

What should I do if my child or other family members develop diarrhoea?
Consult your doctor (your local GP or the hospital).

Interactions with other drugs?
No interaction studies have been conducted with Gastrogard-R®.  The absorption of some drugs may be adversely affected by some dairy products due to complexing with calcium salts, for example, quinoline antibiotics, penicillamine, ketoconazole and tetracyclines.  Administration of Gastrogard-R® should occur at least one hour prior to, or two hours after, administration of these medications.
